Our Story
Scott and Chase have been best friends over 20 years, and were constant companions all through their childhood. After graduating from high school in El Dorado Hills, they headed to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly. Chase earned his degree in Construction Management and Scott in Earth Science. After gaining experience in construction and transportation, they decided to combine their education, skills, and ambition founding S & H transport.
Scott Swenson
After graduating from Cal Poly, Scott went to work for RidgeRock Quarry where he operated heavy machinery and became MSHA certified. After an additional year in the construction industry, Scott moved to LA and worked as a Hollywood Studio Transportation driver on various projects including movies with Will Ferrell, Lady Gaga, and Brad Pitt. While there, he earned his MBA and joined the Teamsters Local 399. Deciding the glitz of Hollywood was not for him, Scott and his wife returned to his home in the California foothills and started S&H transport with his longtime friend Chase.
Chase Hirschy
After graduating from Cal Poly, Chase went to work for Gregg Drilling & Testing operating in the offshore oil and gas and environmental industries. After traveling all over the world as an operating technician, the job returned to land where he got his class A CDL for the company. When the opportunity presented itself Chase jumped into the tech industry working on the self driving truck program at Uber. He currently resides in Auburn California.
